Melting Moments

– 1 cup butter
– 1/3 cup powder sugar
– ¼ tsp almond extract
– ¾ cup cornstarch
– 1/8 tsp salt
– 1 cup flour

Frosting
– 2 TBSP melted butter
– 1 c powder sugar
– ¼ t almond extract
– ½ t vanilla
– Milk
– Red and Green food coloring

Cream butter, add sugar gradually.

Add extract. Blend in dry ingredients.

Chill.

Shape level teaspoons of dough into balls.

Bake on ungreased cookie sheets.

 Make Frosting: Mix melted butter, sugar, and flavorings. Add milk to make frosting spreading-consistency. Tint ½ green and ½ red.

***Yields 6 dozen***
