- 3 – 3 ½ lb corned beef
- 2 onions
- 6 whole cloves
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 envelope beef flavor mushroom mix
- 2 cups water
- 1 small head cabbage – cut up
In dutch oven (or heavy saucepan), place beef and cover with water – add onion, cloves, and bay leave. Simmer covered for 3 hours or until tender.
In medium saucepan, combine mushroom mix and water. Bring to boil.
Add cabbage – simmer covered, stirring occasionally.
Slice corned beef. Arrange cabbage around meet. Pour mushroom gravy over meat and vegetables.
